Olm Nature Escape in South Tyrol's Aurina Valley: innovative vision

By Wednesday, 08 July 2026 11:32

Olm Nature Escape in South Tyrol's Aurina Valley has been honoured for its “innovative vision.”

A member of Ecoluxury Retreats of the World

Olm Nature Escape, an eco-aparthotel in South Tyrol, has been built in harmony with nature. A circle of glass and larch wood that seems to be part of the Aurina Valley, known as “the valley of a thousand possibilities” due to its extraordinary variety of landscapes and its 80 peaks exceeding 3,000 metres. Since opening, the property has been certified by the Global Sustainable Tourism Council and has joined the Ecoluxury Retreats of the World collection.

The resort has just 41 ApartSuites

41 ApartSuites, built according to the principles of bio-architecture, welcome those seeking a retreat that is out of the ordinary. Larch wood clads the surfaces and floors, whilst natural materials create a warm and cozy atmosphere. Twenty-five of the ApartSuites feature a private Finnish sauna, and at the centre of the circular complex, a natural pond enhances a garden left deliberately wild. The Eco Spa offers interconnected indoor and outdoor pools.

A choice of dining opportunities

The Prenn restaurant, h belmedy chef Berni Aichner, follows the Slow Food philosophy of ‘good, clean and fair’, reinterpreting South Tyrolean tradition with contemporary creativity. Olm allows guests to experience culinary freedom in all its forms: you can dine at the Prenn restaurant, eat in your own ApartSuite by cooking in the kitchenette (there is also a small shop stocked with high-quality produce), or discover the many excellent restaurants and mountain huts in the surrounding area. Breakfast, included in your stay, features local and regional produce with a high organic content. Dinner features exclusive, reservation-only evenings with a variety of options.

South Tyrol's hotel of the year for Gault Millau

In 2026, Olm Nature Escape was awarded the title "Hotel of the Year 2026 in South Tyrol" by the Gault Millau guide. This accolade recognizes the innovative vision that permeates the property, celebrating an approach to hospitality that follows the rhythms of nature. This philosophy was further cemented by the property’s inclusion in Vitalpina Hotels South Tyrol, the network of certified properties that promote authentic wellbeing through exercise, mindful eating and environmental protection.
