The North-East Airport Hub, with Venice, Verona and Treviso, is looking forward to the 2026 summer season.
Venice, Verona and Treviso: 2.5 million passengers
For the summer over 16 million seats are expected to go on sale between April and October, this is a 9% increase on 2025. So we are looking at a positive trend for the three airports of Venice, Verona and Treviso, which, in the first two months of the year, recorded an increase of +11.5% over the same period last year, totalling around 2.5 million passengers.
Condor, Volotea and Wizz Air
While we await Emirates and Qatar Airways to resume their respective flights to Dubai and Doha, there is no shortage of new developments for the summer from Venice Airport. From 1 May, Condor will start operating three daily flights between Venice and Frankfurt; from 22 May, Icelandair’s new flight to Reykjavik will commence, with three weekly services. Egyptair is also joining the Venetian network, launching a new twice-weekly service between Venice and Cairo on 29 June. Volotea is deploying a second aircraft during the summer season and introducing two new seasonal flights to Corfu and Rhodes. Wizz Air has announced the arrival of a fourth aircraft at its Venice base in mid-September, expanding its network to 26 destinations with the launch of new flights to Alicante, Bilbao, Seville and Valencia.
45 destinations from Treviso Airport
Treviso’s Canova Airport continues to consolidate its role as a key hub for low-cost traffic with a network of 45 destinations, served mainly by Ryanair and Wizz Air, with a strong presence in the Mediterranean and Eastern European markets. Spain, Romania, Albania, Belgium and Poland are the European markets offering the highest number of seats on sale, reaffirming the airport’s popularity among both leisure and VFR passengers and business travellers.
Verona: 86 destinations served by 25 airlines
Verona Airport, following the completion of the Romeo project for the terminal’s redevelopment, has recorded a 20% increase with over 520,000 passengers in the first two months of the year. In summer 2026 Catullo Airport offers 86 destinations served by 25 airlines, with several new additions: Volotea has announced new routes to Comiso, Malaga, Menorca, Athens and Karpathos, as well as Aalborg in Denmark, thanks to the deployment of a third aircraft during the summer peak.
Sicily: new heritage and low-cost flights
Sicily is now even more accessible thanks to the new connection to Trapani operated by Ryanair, the airport’s leading carrier by passenger volume, which is expanding its network to include a route to Tirana, Albania. Among the new additions, the direct connection between Verona and Casablanca, operated by Royal Air Maroc with three weekly flights starting 21 June, certainly stands out. Casablanca joins the other hubs already served, such as Paris Charles de Gaulle with Air France, and Frankfurt and Munich, both connected by Air Dolomiti with twice-daily flights. Charter and leisure carriers play a central role in completing the network: among these is Neos, which continues to offer long-haul destinations and leading tourist destinations.
A total of 150 destinations for the hub
